William D. Berry

William D. Berry, 91, of Belle Center, passed away at 1:51 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Logan Acres Care Center. He was born in Madison County, Ohio on October 10, 1934, to the late Sam and Ola (Emrich) Berry.

On November 5, 1966, Bill married Joan (Amsler) Berry, and she preceded him in death on May 13, 2024.

Bill is survived by his children, William (Marsha) Berry of Cambridge, Susan (Keith) Penix of New Lebanon, Karen (Kenny) May of Belle Center, and Pam (Donnie) Patton of Bellefontaine; 23 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Bill was also preceded in death by his children, Greg Claybaugh, Todd Berry, and Dale Claybaugh; brothers, Joe Berry, Sam Berry Jr., and Gene Berry; and sisters, Mary Storts and Flora "Lou" Berry.

Bill graduated from Belle Center High School in 1952. He was employed by Rockwell Inc., where he worked until his retirement at age 75. Bill said his job there was the most fulfilling and would go back. He enjoyed mushroom hunting with his friends, playing cards, going on fishing trips, and traveling to Canada. Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a private graveside service in Norman Cemetery, Kenton, at a later date.
