Tyler DeWayne Williams, age 35, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on October 16, 2025, in Lima, Ohio, following a brief stay at St. Rita’s Hospital.
Born on May 29, 1990, in Bellefontaine, Tyler was the beloved son of Tony L. (Monique) Williams and Vanessa A. (George) Hunter. He graduated from Bellefontaine High School and later married Leah R. Williams in Bellefontaine.
Tyler was employed as a postal carrier with the United States Postal Service until the onset of his illness in 2024. A devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Dallas Cowboys, Tyler also took great pride in maintaining his home and yard.
He will be remembered for his quiet generosity, enthusiastic spirit, goofy sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone’s face and Tyler had a strong faith in God all the way until his last breath.
Tyler is survived by his loving wife, Leah R. Williams, and four children: Aunesti of Delaware, Ohio and Liam, Aria, and Alyssa all at home. He is also survived by his siblings Tony L. Williams II of Washington, D.C.; Teree L. (Miriah) Williams of Louisville, Kentucky; Tamirra D. (Lorenzo) Baker of Radcliff, Kentucky; and step-siblings Melvin Hunter of Bellefontaine, Chandra Hunter of Virginia, and Jasmine and Ciera Williams of Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Abraham Sr. and Janice Kenner of Bellefontaine; grandmother Pricilla Williams of Lima; and grandfather Charles Thomas of Lima, Ohio.
Tyler is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his godfather Blake A. Kenner Sr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3 pm to 7 pm, at Christ Our King Church, 1325 Co Rd 9, Bellefontaine. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:30 am at the church. If you are unable to attend the service in person, it will be livestreamed on the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center Facebook page. Interment will follow the funeral in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in honor of Tyler may be directed to his family, to assist his wife and children as they address future needs.
