Stephen H. Mast, 84, peacefully entered into life eternal on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Birchaven Village in Findlay, Ohio. He was born on May 15, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana to the late Robert Otto and Martha Elizabeth (Lichti) Mast. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Ardrita Mast.

On January 30, 1965, he married Rebekah (Huffman) Mast, and she survives in Findlay.

He is also survived by his two sons: Richard (Laura) Mast and David (Laura) Mast; and his granddaughter, Rebekah Mast.

Steve was a quiet man but known for making an impact wherever he lived. Steve served his country in the United States Air Force at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He achieved success on a competitive USAF rifle team. When he settled in St. Paris, Ohio with Becky and sons, he started a youth rifle club to teach youth gun safety and the joy of responsible gun use. When the family moved to Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Steve assumed the leadership role at The Farmer’s Bank, a locally owned and uninsured bank. Steve brought technology to the bank, secured FDIC insurance, and greatly modernized the bank’s processes and systems. For twenty-five years until her death, Steve was the legal guardian for a mentally challenged woman. Later, Steve would provide guidance to another family facing financial issues, helping them to understand the circumstances of their situation and navigate out of it. In both St. Paris and Mechanicsburg, he was active with the Lion’s Club. No matter the church in which Steve worshipped, he would provide financial and spiritual guidance as a treasurer, elder, or deacon. Steve was a Freemason of the Masonic Lodge No. 113 in Mechanicsburg. He found satisfaction and distinction living a life of service.

Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 2330 S. Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Rev.
