Scott Joseph James

Scott Joseph James, 53, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at this Bellefontaine residence.

He was born on September 12, 1972, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Ronald Joseph James of California and the late Rosanne (Conner) Logan.

He is survived by children, Kimber (Daniel) Long of Richmond, IN, Ava James of Marysville, OH, and BentLeigh Kapp of Bellefontaine, a sister, April Salsburey, aunt, Margaret Van Waning of Lima, his granddaughters, Callie & Isabelle Long, nieces and nephews, Alexis, Kylee, Hailey, RJ, Braylon, Brittnay, Courtnay, Stephanie and Destiny, and his good friends, Sarah Lewis, Shelley Harmon, Cody Ramey, and David Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Michelle Hartline.

Scott was a huge Dallas Cowboy football fan.

There are no public services planned.
