Russell Dean Howe

Russell Dean Howe, 64, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born on December 3, 1961, in Maryland, the son of the late Gary and Geraldine (Whiten) Howe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Howe in 2024.

He is survived by two daughters, Morgan (Donald) Harris and Mary Howe, six grandchildren, Samantha Howe-Niswonger, Aubrey Harris, Sophia Harris, Aiden Davie, Weston Howe, Scarlett Rice, a brother, Guy (Sunny) Howe, nieces and nephews, Alyson, Sarah, Crystal, Amber and several great nieces and nephews.

Russell was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1980 to 1984. His late father, Gary, also served honorably for the U.S. Navy. Russell worked for Volvo Trucks Distribution Center in Lewis Center, before his retirement. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially attending any event that involved his grandchildren.
