Ronald W. Foreman passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 16th, 2026. Ron was born on March 4, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Harry and Mildred Foreman.
On June 15, 1963, Ron married his high school sweetheart, Patricia “Patty” (Hopping) Foreman. Together, Ron and Patty built a beautiful life raising their daughters. He was a loving son, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Ron was a lifelong devoted Catholic and a faithful servant of the Lord.
Ron had a lifelong passion for golf, beginning at a young age when he and his brother Jim caddied at the Springfield Country Club. That passion eventually became a career, and Ron went on to serve as a golf professional at several clubs, including the Bellefontaine Country Club and a country club in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
Ron later entered the automobile business, first working with his brother Jim at his dealership in Springfield. He eventually purchased his own dealership, a move that brought Ron and his family to Bellefontaine. He proudly owned and operated his dealership for many years. Even after retirement, Ron continued doing what he did best—selling cars and taking care of his many loyal customers at Steve Austin’s Auto Group.
Ron loved entertaining and was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. He and Patty enjoyed traveling. He was well known for his lively Fourth of July parties and for making sure the neighborhood was treated to some great fireworks. More than anything, though, Ron was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren. He could always be found supporting them at sporting events, musicals, and whatever else they were involved in—often slipping them a few dollars along the way just to let them know how proud he was.
Ron loved his family fiercely, and they were truly the center of his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Mark) Richardson, Stephanie (Mike) Mosbarger, and Cindy (Terry) Stolly; his grandchildren, Andy (Brooke) Richardson, Eric (Becky) Richardson, Ellie (Ryan Rigsby) Richardson, Emily (Matt Sizemore) O'Connor, Owen (Gianna Bevack) O’Connor, Zach (Taylor) Mosbarger, Petey Mosbarger, Mindy Mosbarger, Daulton (Bailey) Mosbarger, Gabby Stolly, Caitlin Stolly, Chloe Stolly, Lily Turner, Olivia Turner, Ethan Turner, and Kayla (Garrett) Gross; and his great-grandchildren, Jameson Rigsby, Collins Mosbarger, Tommy Mosbarger, and Molly Mosbarger.
Also surviving are his brothers, Rick (Linda) Foreman and Mike Foreman; sisters, Terri Holland and Patty Schneider and sister-in-law Teresa Foreman; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty; his daughters, Jenny Foreman O’Connor, Katie Foreman Turner, and Michelle Foreman; his parents, Harry and Mildred Foreman; and his brothers, Jim (Joan) Foreman, John Foreman, and Eddie (Joan) Foreman, nephew Danny Foreman and great granddaughter Amara Kate.
Ron will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity, his friendships, and the joy he found in bringing people together. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
