Robert D. Stoner

Robert D. Stoner, 86, of Belle Center, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2025, at Ayden Health Care of Belle Springs.

Robert was born in Mansfield on November 25, 1938, to the late Bushnell Leroy Stoner and Lela May (Wolfe) Stoner. He was also preceded in death by a brother Richard L. “Rick” Stoner, and a sister Iris Reddy.

Robert is survived by 4 grandchildren, including Sean (Natalie) Stoner of Belle Center; 2 great-grandchildren: Erin Stoner and Sean Stoner, Jr.; and a good friend, Don Volbrecht of Belle Center.

A graduate of Mansfield High School, Robert was a veteran of the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, Robert moved to Belle Center and became a lifelong farmer. He also worked at HBD for many years before he retired. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, and in his younger years he enjoyed roller skating. Robert was known to get “Cowboy’d up” and go to dances in the area. He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the time they spent together.

There will be no services at this time for Robert. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
