Robert Eugene Lee

Robert Eugene “Bob” Lee, 85, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 8:10 a.m. August 13, 2021, at Wapak Manor in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio May 6, 1936, a son of the late William Amos and Marie (Kaylor) Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Alina Lee and a brother, Donald Nelson “Don” Lee.

On December 4, 1958, in Los Angeles, California he married Cleo Eileen (Gantz) Lee and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Dennis Eugene (Julie) Lee; two grandchildren, Amy Pierstorff and Andrew Lee; three great grandchildren; two brothers, David M. Lee and Albert F. Lee and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a 1955 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and was a United States Army Veteran, serving his country from 1955 to 1958.  He worked as a firefighter for Bellefontaine Fire Department retiring in 1991 as Assistant Fire Chief.  He was a member of the American Legion Harold Kerr Post #173 in Bellefontaine.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
