Rita M. Roberts

Rita M. Roberts, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Friday morning, June 11, 2021, at Ohio Health – Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Rita was born in Bellefontaine September 12, 1944, to the late Christie and Marcella (Sites) Roth.  She was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Roth.

Rita is survived by her husband H. Michael Roberts, whom she married July 27, 1968.  She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Scott Bursa of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a granddaughter, Lexie Bursa of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a sister-in-law, Linda Roth of Dublin, Ohio; a nephew, Matt Roth of Peoria, Illinois and niece, Shelly Beiting of Dublin.

Rita was a 1962 graduate of West Liberty High School and a 1966 graduate of Bluffton College.  She was a public school teacher for five years and then went to Head Start where she was a teacher and administrator for another thirty five years.  Rita was a life-long member of Bethel Mennonite Church in West Liberty, Ohio.

Following Rita’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is honored to serve the Roberts family.
