Rick L. Marmon

Rick L. Marmon, 72, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday evening, April 23, 2026, at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was surrounded by his family.

Rick was born in Kenton, Ohio, on January 20, 1954, to the late Kenneth L. and Helen Louise (McCrary) Marmon. He was also preceded in death by a son Chadwick Allen Marmon, and a brother Michael D. Marmon.

Rick married Jeanne Roberts on June 30, 1978, and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by 2 children: Hayley (Tate) Stratton of Rushsylvania, and Logan (Tara) Marmon of West Mansfield; 4 grandchildren: Owen and Archer Stratton, Amelia and Macie Marmon; a brother Mark (Vicky) Marmon of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law Heather Marmon of Loveland, Colorado; nephew Adam (Jessica Hair) Marmon; niece Sarah (Mike) Winebrenner; and cousins Amy (Dale) Erickson and Ellen Marmon. He is also survived by many cherished members of the Roberts family, including brothers and sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

A 1972 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, Rick retired from Honda after working his way up to plant manager at a Honda supplier, having been involved in paint, weld, and plastic injection molding departments over the years. He loved fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting, sitting on his front porch, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Rick cherished the time spent on Sunday mornings with his close friends enjoying coffee in the barn. He also especially, loved being grandpa.

Dr. Ellen Marmon and Pastor Mike Roberts will officiate Rick’s funeral service on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 1pm at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends from 11am – 1pm. Burial will be in Zanesfield Cemetery.
