Ralph Wood

Ralph A Wood, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on October 20, 1938, to the late Harold M. Wood and Ruth Elizabeth Jamerson Andersen.

He married Jeanette Grimm, and she preceded him in death in 1986. He is also preceded in death by his second wife, Elizabeth Ann Wood and his brother, James Kaylor Wood.

He is survived by his son, Mark Wood; daughter, Autumn Wood; stepchildren: Brad (Amy) Emrich and Crystal Lloyd; and grandchild, Kaylor Wren Wood.

Ralph worked in transportation for many years. He was the youngest man ever voted to the National Board of Transportation and was instrumental in putting in the Alaskan Pipeline. He loved repairing old Mustangs and collecting antiques.

There will be no services at this time. A private inurnment will take place at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
