Nancy G. Woodward

Nancy G. Woodward, 87, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 8:18 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at her home. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on January 2, 1939, to the late Frank and Helen (Parker) Moody.

On February 21, 1959, in Lima, Ohio Nancy married James A. Woodward and he survives.

She is also survived by her daughters, Jeanne (Mike) Hayes, and June (David) Moran; sons, Jim (Shelly) Woodward, and Dale (Pam) Thatcher; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, with one on the way; sister, Carolyn (Ted) Moser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, David Moody.

Nancy retired after 20 years with The Ohio State University Agricultural Department. She was very involved in her grandchildren’s activities and valued her time with them. She loved traveling, gardening, singing in the church choir, and reading Christian fiction. A devoted family woman, Nancy also enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time at family gatherings.

Pastor Brandon Storm will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Goshen Friends Church, 5527 County Road 153, Zanesfield. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church. A burial will follow the service at Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.
