Michael L. McGinnis

Michael L. McGinnis, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Marysville, Ohio, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on October 17, 1952, in Marion, Ohio to the late Robert L. and Helen Frances (Ditter) McGinnis. He is also preceded in death by his son, Robert J. “Bobby” McGinnis.

Mike married Nancy (Vermillion) McGinnis on February 7, 1973, and she survives in Bellefontaine.

He is also survived by his sister, Linda L. Harris; sisters-in-law: Beverly Ray, Becky Rutherford, and Pati Stemble; brother-in-law, James D. Vermillion; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Mike graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1971. After high school, he worked for Daring Chevrolet before going to work at Honda for 20+ years until he retired in 2009. He enjoyed shopping and collecting many things. In his free time, he liked to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and NASCAR on tv.

Per Mike’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services at this time.
