Mary Jane Caudill, 91, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2025.
Mary was born in Draffin, Kentucky, on July 27, 1934. She was the youngest daughter of the late Willie (Bill) and Pearl Senter Lee. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Gale Caudill, son Robert “Neal” Caudill, brothers Robert Lee and Oscar Glenn Stepp and sister-in-law Jean Stepp.
Mary married Bobby Caudill on September 25, 1954. Together they raised five children: Robert “Neal” Caudill, Kenneth Wayne (Sue) Caudill of Howard, Gary Dale (Shelly) Caudill of Lancaster, Jason Dale Caudill of Columbus and Amber Marie (Scott) Fergus of Dubuque, Iowa; grandchildren, Nicole (Shawn), Laura (Nick), Kelly; great-grandchildren, Nathon (Jessica), Natalie, Alivia, Tori, MaryJane, Ryder, Jackson, Ella, Adisyn, RuthAnne and Marvin.
Mary is also survived by sister Emalene Lee and sister-in-law Doris Lee both of Draffin, Kentucky.
Mary worked at the Western Auto Distribution Center in Delaware as a shipping clerk and Buehler’s grocery store in Delaware as a baker. Mary babysat for several families in the Logan County area during her early retirement years and was known as Mamaw by many.
Mary was a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed baking and decorating Christmas cookies with her many grandchildren during the holidays, gardening, canning, making apple butter, peach jelly and creating a warm inviting home for her family to gather. Mary attended Cornerstone Church at Huntsville.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate Mary’s graveside service on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 12:30pm at Huntsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, prior to the graveside on Wednesday, from 11am until 12 noon.
