Marvin Rieger

Marvin Rieger, 69, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, in his home. He was born in Hillsville, South Dakota, on May 6, 1939, a son of the late Philip and Elizabeth Schneider Rieger. On June 9, 1978, he married the former Sheyna MacImmes in Alaska and she survives, along with a son, Philip Otho Rieger of Lexington, Kentucky; daughter, Carol A. (Matthew Taylor) Rieger of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Alexander Rieger Taylor and Seth Matthew Rieger Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; and pet dogs, Gaya and Hannibal.

He retired from the United States Air Force after serving in Vietnam.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008, in the Dayton Veterans Administration Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
