Marcia Ann Mosbarger

Marcia Ann Mosbarger, 93, of Spencerville and formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:43 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. She was born in Troy, Ohio on September 6, 1933, to the late Cecil Leroy and Lillian Mabel (Graham) Moist.

On September 30, 1955, she married Donald Eugene Mosbarger and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2014.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Darla (Bruce) Rice; grandchildren, Karissa (Jake) Bowling, Amanda (Gary) Davis, Doug (Amber) Moist, and Nick Moist; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Makenzie, Stagger, Walker, Kira, and Jake Jr. "JD".

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcia was also preceded in death by her son, Gordon Paul Moist; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Onda Lee (Marvin) Nichols, and Mary Lou (Lee) Frost.

Marcia graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1951. She worked as a binder for Merchant Industries for 40 years before retiring in 1991. She belonged to Living Hope Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church and, most recently, Wapak Church. She was also active at the Friendly Senior Center in Bellefontaine. Marcia enjoyed shopping with her daughter and granddaughter, often followed by a meal at Cracker Barrel. She loved sunbathing and was known as a loving, outgoing, and "spunky" person. Before her husband Don passed away, they enjoyed traveling together. She cherished her grandchildren and loved babysitting them. Marcia also loved dogs, especially her chocolate and yellow Labrador retrievers, Dakota and Lacy. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pastor Jason Goss will officiate a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, in the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
