Linda G. Wood

Linda G. Wood, 75, of Anna, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at her home. She was born in Grundy, Virginia on July 16, 1951 to the late Trimble and Pearlie (Church) Maynard.

She is survived by her children: John Wood, Lisa (Dennis) Boggs, and Scott (Jennifer) Wood; grandchildren: Dylan, Mathis, Maddie, Nick, and Kate; siblings: Myrt, Eddie (Maurice), and Michael (Gina); and several nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Wood “Woody”; siblings: Darrel, Clyde, and Lois and brother-in-law, Earl.

Linda worked at the Women’s Reformatory for 20+ years, following an earlier career in real estate. She loved being outside and working in her yard. Above all, she loved her family deeply and enjoyed the time she got to spend with them.

She will be cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
