Linda Lou Fillinger

Linda Lou Fillinger, 80, of Zanesfield, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 27, 1945, the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Dodds) Mathews.

She is survived by her four children, Karen (Jim) Ginter of Georgetown, SC, Teresa (Mark) O'Brien of Zanesfield, OH, Tim (Anna) Johnson of Galloway, OH, and Angel McClary of West Unity, OH, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Ida Ruth (Wayne) Mathews and Della (Tim) Shier, whom she raised from age nine (9), two brothers, Roy Dale Mathews and Kenneth Lee Mathews, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine & Donna and three brothers, Fred, Frank, and Charlie.

Linda worked for Westinghouse in both Upper Sandusky and Bellefontaine, until the Bellefontaine Plant was closed. She then worked in home health care for almost seven years. She also worked at Product Action, where she inspected parts for quality, where she met and made wonderful friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to play BINGO.

Pastor Anthony Davis will officiate a memorial service on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 6:00pm in the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
