Kenneth L. Cooper, Sr.

Kenneth L Cooper, Sr., 77, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away Friday afternoon, September 11, 2026, at Florence Park Care Center, Florence, Kentucky.

Ken was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on June 16, 1949, to the late Otis Luster and Mary Marie (Buckner) Cooper. He married JoAnn Denney on May 22, 2018, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2024. Ken was also preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Cooper.

Ken is survived by his children: Ken (Tiffany) Cooper of Bellefontaine, and Melody (Don) Stacy of Springfield; 8 grandchildren: Kenzie Stacy, Cooper Stacy, Wyatt Stacy, Autumn (Wesley) McBean, Alayna (Brayden) Barth, Alexa Cooper, Austin Cooper, and Azlyn Cooper; and 3 great-grandchildren: Reagan and Brawnson McBean, and Hadley Barth; siblings: Janet Wiessinger of Bellefontaine, Eddie (Becky) Cooper of DeGraff, and Shirley Ball of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews.

Ken worked in the factory at Rockwell Int’l in Marysville for several years, then did property maintenance for several years, and most recently worked as a print operator at Conduent Printing in Florence, Kentucky. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed refinishing furniture, reading books, and watching John Wayne movies. Home cooked meals were loved by him, and the hotter and spicier the food – the better it was to him.

The family will celebrate Ken’s life on Friday, September 18, 2026, with a visitation from 3-5pm, at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home, West Liberty. Ken will be interred in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kentucky, at a later date.
