Joyce A. Johns, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, November 7, 2025, at Kobacker House, Columbus.

Joyce was born in Lima, Ohio, on May 25, 1930, to the late Herbert Keifer and Glenna (Riner) Keifer Hayes. She married Kenneth L. Johns on June 12, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1965. Joyce was also preceded in death by her sister Betty Keifer Hentze and her brother Richard Keifer.

Joyce is survived by her children: Meloni (Steve) Donahue of Canal Winchester, Gregory Johns of Bellefontaine, and Kelly (Wayne) Sells of Worthington; 5 grandchildren: Joseph (Kelly) Donahue, Todd (Anthony) Donahue, Erin (Richard) Dobda, Parker Sells, and Mackenzie Sells; 4 great-grandchildren: Klara, Asher, Warren, and Noah. Additionally, Joyce is survived by a half-brother, Donald Mowery of Florida, and her nieces and nephew and their families whom she cared for deeply: Jill Hentze Easton and daughter Nicole, Mike (Barbara) Hentze and daughters Heather and Christine, Joni (Gary) Hentze Bullock and sons Casey and Kevin.

Joyce worked at Detroit Aluminum Brass (DAB) for over 36 years and retired as a bearings inspector. An avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State Buckeyes, Joyce could recall players and their statistics. She cherished the time spent with her family and had a lifelong love of animals and nature. Joyce will be fondly remembered for her strength, caring nature, and her ability to share her love with others. She will be truly missed by her family and those who knew her.

The family will have a private graveside service in Huntsville Cemetery at a later date.
