Jenny M. (Langstaff) Hemphill, 73, was born on June 9, 1952, in Bellefontaine, Ohio and passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in New Middletown, Ohio surrounded by her family. She lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to those around her.

Jenny graduated from Indian Lake High School in 1971. On September 1, 1973, she married Daniel L. Hemphill at the Lakeview Methodist Church in Lakeview, Ohio. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment to one another.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Dale Langstaff and Leola Maxine (Neal) Langstaff; her son, Daryl F. Hemphill; her father-in-law, Paul F. Hemphill; her mother-in-law, Betty L. (Broadstone) Hemphill and her brother-in-law, Kent Frazelle.

Jenny is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel L. Hemphill (New Middletown, Ohio); her loving son, David (Jennifer) Hemphill (New Middletown, Ohio) and her cherished grandchildren, Savannah Hemphill and Cole Hemphill, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her siblings: Connie (Chuck) Davis (Dillon, Montana), Dalene Frazelle (Moline, Illinois), and Dale (Kathy) Langstaff (Bellefontaine, Ohio); her sister-in-law, Donna (Keith) Stoner (Belle Center, Ohio) along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Jenny was a faithful member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church, She sang in the church choir early in life at the First United Methodist Church in Richwood, Ohio and participated in several cherished Christmas cantatas. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding light to her family.

For most of her career, Jenny worked as a daycare teacher, a role that perfectly reflected her nurturing and compassionate nature. She had a special gift for caring for children and touched countless young lives with her patience, kindness, and encouragement.

Jenny found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, tending to her house plants, and creating a warm and welcoming home. She and Daniel enjoyed camping and traveling together, making many treasured memories along the way. After retirement, they spent several winters in Florida, a time she greatly enjoyed.

Jenny will be remembered for her warm smile, steady strength, and unwavering love for her family. She created a home filled with comfort, laughter, and acceptance. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the family she cherished.

Pastor Ben Beres will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview, Belle Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Huntsville Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Ohio.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
