Janet L. Fridenmaker, 85, of West Liberty, passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at her home. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 13, 1941, to the late David S. and Thelma Pearl (Dennis) Reames.
On January 24, 1963, she married David L. Fridenmaker, and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2011.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Lynn Weatherby, Ann (Ed) Bristoll, and Pam Forsythe; grandchildren, Staci (Jon) Bell, Dustin (Raven) Weatherby, Jordan (Natasha) Weatherby, Kylee Bristoll, Emily (Alyssa Combs) Bristoll, and Brady (Ashlynn Ryder) Forsythe, great grandchildren, Pierson Bell, Callaghn Bell, Teagan Bell, Colt Pemberton, and Lillian Weatherby; sister-in-laws, Nevora Siegenthaler, and Linda Fridenmaker; brother-in-law, Steve Danner; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Danner, and brother-in-laws, John Fridenmaker, and Ray Siegenthaler.
Janet loved her family fiercely whether it was spending time with her girls shopping and thrifting or having all the kids and grandkids over for dinner, being with family was a highlight. She spent a great deal of time crafting and making special gifts for the ones she loved. In recent years, she became a bit of a “ring leader” with friends Joann, Terrie, Pam and various other friends spending time sitting outside enjoying each other's company and keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood. She also enjoyed many trips with good friend Peggy who allowed her Janet to get out and live a little. As friends and family meant everything to Janet, Janet meant so much to each of them and she will be greatly missed.
