James E. Ziegler

James E. Ziegler, 75, of Bellefontaine, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1951, in Delaware County, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Lucy (Lee) Ziegler.

On December 20, 1975, he married Barbara (Burk) Ziegler, and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by his daughter, Regina Ziegler and son, Allen Ziegler; grandchildren: Lashia, Zack, Allie, Zave, and Paige; great grandchildren: Zoey, Zayde, Marzly, and Hannah; honorary great grandchild, Kyler; his sister, Wanda Gwilliam; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Walter Ziegler, Raymond Ziegler, and Donna Barker; brothers-in-law: Bruce Gwilliam and Bill Barker; and nephew, Scott Barker.

James was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1969 to 1971. He was a truck driver for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
