Ewell Timothy "Tim" Hinman

Ewell Timothy (Tim) Hinman, born on February 26, 1967, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the age of 58.

Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore."

Ewell Timothy Hinman was born in Melbourne, Florida. He was adopted by Nelson and Pauline Hinman. Tim was welcomed into the Hinman home initially through foster care at the age of 17 months and then adopted as part of the family. He was always lovingly referred to as "The Kid".

The Hinman family was a musical family and Tim seemed to fit into that musical mold very well.

Tim graduated from Merritt Island High School in the class of 1985 and went on to take classes at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida.

Tim was a salesman for most of his career. He was married to his wife, Sandra (Sandy) for 33 years. They met and married in Colorado. He was the love of her life. They never had children but had a common love for dogs and cats. They called them their furry kids. He loved reading (bookstores were his happy place), video games, and most genres of music (classic rock was his favorite), loved to sing and had a passion for cooking. Tim had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Tim had a contagious laugh.

As we gather in Tim's memory, our hearts are full, not just with sorrow, but with profound thankfulness for the time we were blessed to share with him. With heavy hearts, we share the painful news of the passing of our beloved Tim-beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and dear friend. Tim's presence gave warmth and meaning to our lives, and his absence has left a space that can never truly be filled. We will miss you deeply, Tim. But above all, we will carry with us the memory of your incredible love, your bright smile, and your endless kindness. Our lives were forever changed by having you with us, and our gratitude will never fade. Rest peacefully my darling in the arms of our Savior. You will always be in our hearts.

Tim is predeceased on his side by: Nelson and Pauline Hinman (parents), Winston Hinman (infant brother), Beverly Hinman (infant sister), Dan Hinman (brother), Bruce Hilderbrant (brother-in-law) Bill Bickham (brother-in-law), Sarah Hinman (infant niece), Rachel Knight (infant niece).

On his wife's side by: Richard and Edna Nelson (in-laws), Steve Nelson (brother-in-law).

Tim is survived by his wife Sandy (Bellefontaine, OH). On his side by sisters: Sharon Hilderbrant (Littleton, CO); Becky (Jack) Edwards (Bolivar, TN); Cheryll Bickham (Bellefontaine, OH). Nieces and Nephews: David (Susan) Hilderbrant, Stephen (Cherie) Knight, Ryan (Christa) Knight. Kristina (Ayo) Dawson, Travis (Lauren) Hinman; Amber (Dave) Storey; 17 great nieces and nephews.

On his wife's side by brother-in- laws: Stan Nelson (Wheat Ridge, CO, Robert Nelson (Aurora, CO), David Nelson (Denver, CO), Mark Nelson (Lakewood, CO). Sister-in-law: Debbie Nelson (Wheat Ridge, CO). Nieces and Nephews: Robert Nelson (Aurora, CO), Hilary Nelson (Longmont, CO), Michael Nelson (Aurora, CO), Cindy (Glenn) Sutton (Lakewood, CO), Karla Nelson (Littleton, CO), Timothy Nelson (Aurora. CO), Rick Nelson (Thornton, CO); five great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
