Dale M. McClure, 89, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty.

He was born September 19, 1923, in Alcony, Ohio to the late Carl and Ethel (Hess) McClure.

On April 8, 1949, he married the former Patricia Kilgore in Rushsylvania, Ohio and she preceded him in death February 6, 2001. Also preceding him in death was a son, Allen McClure; a sister, Ruby Codrington, and two brothers, Howard and Robert McClure.

Surviving are two sons, Roy McClure and Robert (Cyndi) McClure, both of West Liberty; five grandchildren, Allison (Rob) Louden, Jamie McClure, Robert McClure, Samantha VanHouten and Alexandra VanHouten; three great grandchildren, Tyler Louden, Anna Louden and Sophia VanHouten; a brother, Carl (Becky) McClure of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Kathy McClure of West Liberty, and along time friend, Shirley Dunaway of West Liberty.

A farmer all his life, Dale loved the Lord. He attended the First Church of God in West Liberty. He enjoyed tractors, bowling, the Cincinnati Reds and having coffee with his friends at the Liberty Gathering Place.

Calling hours will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Pastor’s Robin Riggs and Ronald Irick will officiate the 10:00 A.M. funeral service Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the First Church of God in West Liberty. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
