Cynthia Ann Tidd Judy, 83, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, in the home that she loved. She was born on August 1, 1943, to Robert D. and Violet G. Miller Tidd who raised her with 10 siblings in rural Jackson Center. She was a dedicated wife to Larry Judy for 63 years and he loved and cared for her dearly until her last breath.
Cynthia retired from the Anna Honda plant in 2008, where she made many dear friends, including some very special Japanese friends whom she would invite to the farm to ride the horses and tractors. They were treated to a cookout and the hospitality of the family. Always compassionate, she wanted to give them some family love while they were so far from their own.
Cynthia would (and often did) give you the shirt off her back. She opened her home to those in need. Her nieces and nephews will cherish the blankets which she loved making and giving to them and their children. She gave them to all who visited and regretted that she couldn’t give one to all, due to the difficulty of the task as the years progressed. Cynthia was very competitive. She was quite good at bowling and enjoyed the leagues and many friends she made throughout the years. Her grandchildren tried to beat her on the Wii bowling but rarely succeeded. Cynthia loved to play games of all kinds and she took great joy in showing the grandkids her impressive batting skills at family softball games. If you played Euchre or Aggravation with her, you had to bring your best game because she wasn’t going to “let” you win. She delighted family and those passing by with her Halloween decorations. It was her favorite holiday, and she enjoyed getting in costume to give you a scare which was followed by great laughter.
She is survived by her husband and their loving children: Diana Stelzner, Jeff (Linda) Judy, Amy (John) Schmidt; grandchildren: Sean (Lauren) Judy, Amber Stelzner, Shane (Courtnie) Judy, Cory Judy, Craig Stelzner, Allyson Schmidt and Ryan Schmidt; great grandchildren: Beau Judy and Boone Judy; siblings: Gloria Manger, Karen Levi, Ronnie Tidd, Sue Davis, Deb Gates, Tammy Stephens; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings Jack Tidd, Rick Tidd, Robert E. Tidd and Paul Tidd.
The family invites all who loved her to join them in the celebration of life which will be held at Christ The King Church, 17570 St. Rt. 274, Jackson Center, on August 18, 2025, at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Wilson Home Health & Hospice, 1083 Fairington Drive, Sidney, OH 45365.
