Connie L. (Gainey) Leveck, 73, formerly of Rushsylvania, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 1, 2026, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, Ohio.
Connie was born in Richmond County, North Carolina on August 15, 1952, to the late Paul H. and Lucille (Jacobs) Gainey.
She married Joseph M. Leveck on July 22, 1978, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2020. Connie was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Renee Leveck, and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Marie Leveck of Kenton; son Brandon Leveck of Roundhead; brother, Paul H. Gainey, Jr. of Colorado and his children; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews
Connie grew up in Bellefontaine and graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1971 before she moved and started raising her family in Rushsylvania.
She was a lover of nature, whether she was tending to her flowers or her gardens she loved, especially growing tomatoes. She liked watching a variety of movies and tv shows. Her real passion was music and singing. She loved a variety of music and singing karaoke. Above all else she loved her children and family deeply and loved talking and spending time with her friends. Connie was employed at Transportation Research Center in East Liberty until her passing where she made a lot of friends.
Pastor John Watkins will officiate Connie’s funeral service on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
