Rick was blessed with many good friends.

He was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School Class of 1964. While in high school, he excelled in baseball and basketball for three years. He was an avid sports fan – his favorite teams were the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoyed weightlifting & body building, gardening, buying plants especially succulents, and his favorite pastime was playing golf. Being a competitive golfer, he enjoyed taking quarters from his golfing buddies after making many incredible shots.

Rick also loved going out to eat with friends. His favorite place to go was Hooters for good wings. He even convinced the staff at Embassy Nursing Home to take him to Hooters and also recently to Red Lobster for his 80th birthday.
