Claire Odekirk, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday afternoon, February 27, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Claire was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 11, 1948, to the late James Phillip Langone and Antoinette (Cabuccio) Langone. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Marie Lunn-Mazow, and sister Joanne Giordano.
Claire is survived by her children: Mary Martino Lee of Texas, James P. Martino of Bellefontaine, Albert V. (Bobbi Wolfe) Martino of Bellefontaine; son-in-law Josh Mazow of St. Louis; sister Geri A. Tilley of Las Vegas; nephew Patrick (Kelsey) Basso and their children Keghan and Paisleigh Basso, all of Bellefontaine; nieces Melissa Basso, Rachel Tilley, Breana Zamora, Bella Hellman, and great-niece Annette Reazola, all of Las Vegas; close family, Celia Henrikson of New York, Richard Tilley of Las Vegas, and Mary Lee of Texas.
At the age of 30, Claire moved to Las Vegas where she spent 24 years of her life before she moved to Bellefontaine where she worked in the office at the Logan County Library for 10 years. She enjoyed watching sports, Jeopardy, and soap operas, as well as working on jigsaw puzzles and adding to her collection of over 800 magnets.
In honoring Claire’s last wishes, there will be no services held.
