Carleen Elaine Skaggs

Carleen Elaine Skaggs, 70, of DeGraff, passed away Thursday morning, January 15, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital.

Carleen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 13, 1955, to the late Carl Clifford Brown and Anna Faye (Back) Brown. She was also preceded in death by a son Matt Schafer, and a brother Scott Brown.

Carleen is survived by her husband, Gerald Skaggs, whom she married on September 9, 2016. She is also survived by sons: Mitch Schafer of Russells Point, and Myles Schafer of Roundhead; 8 grandchildren: Mason, Kamera Rae, Madie, Matthew, Marcus, Marshall, Brittany, and Ethan; a brother Randy Brown of Valrico, Florida; several nieces and nephews; her best friend Diane (John) Campbell of Cincinnati; an aunt Carolyn Brown of West Union; many cousins, including Sylvia of Michigan; and many friends including Jim and Phyllis Ray of Missouri, and Paul and Suzette Moore of Bellefontaine.

Carleen worked at Transportation Research Center in East Liberty, Ohio, as a test driver for 20 years. She enjoyed working on crafts of all kinds. Carleen was a member of Indian Lake Baptist Church.

There will be no services at this time for Carleen.
