Bonnie (Detrick) Austin

Bonnie Sue (Detrick) Austin, 75, of Bellefontaine, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Cridersville Health Care Center. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on January 21, 1951, to the late Fred Neil Detrick and Norma Jean (Stephenson) Winkle.

Bonnie is survived by her brother, Steve Detrick; nieces, Tiffany Detrick and Rachel Mentzer; nephew, Jesse Detrick; and great nieces and nephews, Nekailah Stiggers, Layah Stiggers, Daylon Easton, and Kellen Walther.

Bonnie cherished her family and friends. She was passionate about Bingo and disliked losing. Her enthusiasm for life and faith in Christ was evident. Although she was in a wheelchair, it never limited her; Bonnie remained incredibly active. She brought energy to any room, and her smile and laughter were truly contagious.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
