Barbara Ann Powell

Barbara Ann Powell, 80, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at her daughter’s residence in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late John R. and Essie Marie Crowe.

She is survived by a son, Brett (Dena) Wiederkehr of Raleigh, North Carolina and a daughter and best friend, Patricia “Patti” (Jason) Meyers of Bellefontaine, Ohio, six grandchildren; Caleb Wiederkehr, Anastasia (Eric) Farrington, Sarah Gardner, Keiran Andrews, Milo Meyers, and Miette Meyers.

Barbara had worked at the Upper Valley Mall in Springfield and as a bar manager at several places around Indian Lake.  She was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post #39, Lakeview, Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) of Indian Lake.  She enjoyed gardening, the arts, music, had a wonderful sense of humor, and appreciated being around her family and friends.  She was proud to be a breast cancer survivor.

There will be a wake service planned for a later date.
