Arretta Louise Scott

Arretta Louise Scott, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 6:57 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at her home. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on September 16, 1940, to the late Louis Levon Breaston, and Nina Marie (Mabra) Williams.

On March 15, 1969, she married Robert Irvin Scott, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2024.

Arretta is survived by her daughter, Sheena D. Johnson; son, Robert P. Scott; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister, Phenon (William) Shoots; brother, Kenneth Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Arretta was preceded in death by her son, William "Merideth" Story; a great-great grandchild; sister, Carmen Marie Ferguson; and brothers, Louis Breaston, Edward Breaston, David Breaston, and Jeffrey Williams.

Arretta was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and found joy in staying connected and active within her community.
