Alan Argabright

Alan L. Argabright, 61, of Jackson Center passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born in Shelby County, Ohio on September 22, 1965, to the late Paul Kenneth and Twylah (Wiessinger) Argabright.

He is survived by many cousins, extended family, friends and his best friend, Mark Van Fossen and his family.

A 1983 graduate of Jackson Center High School, Alan went on to earn a business degree from The Ohio State University, where he also played on the Buckeye’s tennis team. His passion for sports ran deep; he was a devoted fan to both the Buckeyes and Bengals, holding Cincinnati Bengals season tickets for many years. Alan was also a dedicated member of the Wapakoneta American Legion Post 330 and Amvets Post 333. While he did not have children of his own, he found immense joy in spending time with Mark’s grandchildren: Evan, Evalynn, Zayne, Jeremiah, and Taryn, whom he considered family.

There will be a funeral service for Alan at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior from 11:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
